Active members

Role: Active members are the backbone of Africa Swiss. They contribute to the further development of the association through their involvement in projects, strategic co-design and the assumption of functions. Members of the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee and the Regional Directors automatically receive this status during their term of office.

‍Suitablefor: People with specialist knowledge or special commitment who are actively committed to the goals of Africa Swiss and would like to have a direct influence on the direction of the association.

Passive members

Role: These members stand behind the mission of Africa Swiss and support the platform ideally. They benefit from networking events, exchange opportunities and access to exclusive programs.

Suitable for: Students, academics, representatives from politics, administration and research who are interested in economic and cultural cooperation between Switzerland and Africa.

Honorary members

Honorary members are outstanding personalities who are appointed because of their special contribution to public life or their support of the objectives of AFRICA SWISS. They are exempt from all membership fees and enjoy a special status within the organization.

Cooperating members

Role: These members are self-employed entrepreneurs or technical experts who use Africa Swiss both personally and for business purposes. They contribute their knowledge to the association and can actively participate as consultants or service providers.
